Kendall O’Connor has taught secondary English, Creative Writing, and Humanities courses for the last fifteen years. She is a student advisor, affinity group leader, and mentor teacher at her current school. Outside of the classroom, she works as an academic coach and reading and writing support specialist for students in fifth grade through college.

Kendall graduated from the University of Pennsylvania summa cum laude, completed an independent study at the University of Cambridge, served as a Teach for America corps member, and holds a Master of Education degree in Learning & Teaching from Harvard.

She enjoys reading, writing, baking, hiking, studying Bravo’s prolific reality television anthologies, and raising two lively boys. Los Angeles is her hometown and Atlanta is her home base.

In a periodic table project where students classified their teachers as elements, she was categorized under “Teachers You Accidentally Call ‘Mom.’”
